you may not know, but village co is based in the carolinas, and proud of it! we've watched as hurricane has ripped through our part of the country and caused immense suffering. in hopes of helping our neighbors in western north carolina, we're donating 100% of proceeds from the online sales of our carolina embroidered sweatshirts to two charities of our choice. you can find more information on those charities below. these sales are on a preorder, made to order basis and will take a few weeks to turn around, so please be patient with us.
i've watched closely as this tragedy has taken place and looked for the helpers. i've chosen two charities that i've seen providing quick and effective relief and feel confident that our donation will be well used in their hands. half of our donation will go to beloved asheville, a local charity that is here on the ground seeing to the needs of the community. as the weather is changing and the temperature is dropping they are needing more cold weather items, heaters, generators, etc and we hope our donation will help keep people warm this fall and winter. the other half of our donation will go to global empowerment mission's small business and artisan relief fund. as a small business ourselves, we can't imagine having something so sudden and destructive rip through your community. we're excited to hopefully make a difference in another small business's path to recovery with your help.
